Congratulations to Luca Patching who joined the prestigious players club on Friday evening by being awarded his players cap.
Luca has gone from strength to strength in this First XV team this year. His strength and determination has bolstered our team and his hard work ethic has contributed to valuable points on the board when most needed.
Luca has worked hard off the field also and was rewarded this season with being named in the Southland Country Under 18 squad. This was well deserved recognition! He is a powerhouse that will be a big void to fill in the future.
We wish Luca all the very best as he leaves St Peter's College and starts another chapter of learning and rugby. When I asked Luca what memories he can recall over his First XV journey he highlighted:
The “brotherhood”, winning last year's final and the bonds created with mates and getting to know people.
