On Thursday the 3rd of April a group from the Year 11 Art classes spent the day at the Art Centre on Rock Street. There we worked with Jacque Byars on printmaking. Our topic was “Things that remind us of home”.
We had an enjoyable time and our experience at the workshop was a fine blend of creativity and hands on learning, allowing us to explore a new art form in a relaxed environment. Jacque was incredibly knowledgeable and patient, guiding everyone through each step with ease. It was nice to see how quickly everyone’s unique prints came to life when finalised, showcasing a lot of individual creativity. Overall, it was an unfamiliar but inspiring experience that sparked a new appreciation for the art of printmaking.
