We are fortunate in Gore to have access to many beautiful locations for learning opportunities. The first Surf Camp in Riverton/Colac Bay was cancelled due to severe weather warnings, and then booked out for the rest of the term, prompting us to try a new location - Otepoti, Dunedin! The Year 12 class struck gold with two "Dunner Stunner" days, with the sun beaming on us at St Clair beach. The waves were a bit more vigorous, but the students were up for the challenge and made the most of their three sessions with the Esplanade Surf School. On both days, we had seals swimming and sunbathing near us, and all students had a fantastic time while also participating in two NCEA Level 2 standards, which they will now complete back at school. Well done, Year 12 PE!
