Last week the Year 13 PE class travelled to Wanaka for their winter camp. As part of their Achievement Standard 3.7, the students needed to plan, participate and evaluate an outdoor experience. The students chose to go skiing at Cardrona. This was a great adventure for the class with several students having never been up a ski field before. All the students gained confidence and improved over the two days. The weather was fantastic and all the students managed to get up the Chairlift and some even managed to successfully navigate 'gravity alley'. The trip has provided plenty of learning opportunities for their assessment. A big thank you to Mr Sanson and Mrs Conlan for accompanying us.
