As we finish Term One, we have the last of our University Liaison visits. Maddie Emery from Lincoln University presented an introduction to Lincoln, including courses, scholarships, and accommodation options. Maddie will be back in Term Three to guide course planning for prospective Lincoln students in 2025.
This week we are featuring the first of our Gateway students. Murphy Davis is out at Keelow Craft Boats once a week. Murphy works on theory units at school during his Gateway periods, three times a week; these units are from the Marine Academy. His theory work complements the practical work he is carrying out in the workplace.
Another student studying Marine Engineering is Blake Dassan. Blake is working at Gough Bros in Invercargill every Wednesday.
