Rose Perkins, Bethany Coghlan and Lucy Wilson ( former St Peter's College students) celebrate receiving their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Awards in Dunedin recently. This event had been postponed more than once due to covid. The awards were presented by Peter Hillary son of Sir Edmund Hillary. In the citations the girls had referred to the hard work and perseverance to achieve this. Also they mentioned the opportunities that had evolved and the friendships they had made. It was great to have Ronny Kotkamp ( former teacher in charge of the Duke of Edinburgh programme at St Peter's ) join them in this celebration.
