Last week of term one, on Monday, April 8th, five Year 7 and 8 students were invited to attend the GRIP Leadership Conference. This was held at the T & C in Gore and schools from all around the region attended too.
The day was split into four sessions and focused on different aspects of being a leader: how everybody can step forward and lead, the sacrifices of a student leader, stepping forward with new ideas, and doing the things that leaders often forget.
The team running the day made these sessions really fun! We were able to mix with other schools, watch videos, play games and some were lucky enough to get chosen to share their answers on stage.
We hope to put our new learning in practice soon!
