We are delighted to congratulate the five students from St Peter's College who received the Sacrament of Confirmation on Sunday, June 16th, at St Mary's school Mass. This special ceremony took place alongside the primary children, making it a truly joyous occasion for the entire community. Our students are: Lilly Mantell, Levi Langford, Keira Langford, Myia Eichstaedt and Mikee Omega.
The Sacrament of Confirmation is a vital step in the spiritual journey of our young Catholics. It is one of the three Sacraments of Christian initiation, alongside Baptism and the Eucharist. Through Confirmation, our students received the gifts of the Holy Spirit, which strengthen their bond with the Church and empower them to live out their faith more fully. This sacrament marks a deepening of their faith and their commitment to following Christ.
We would like to thank all of those who contributed to making this event so meaningful. Special thanks go to Mrs Paula Gray, Ms Mallory Hood, and the St Mary's staff who prepared the students for this significant milestone. Your dedication and guidance have been instrumental in their faith formation.
A big thank you also goes to the parents and families of our students. Your support and encouragement are crucial in nurturing the faith of our young people. We are blessed to have such a supportive and faith-filled community at St Peter's College.
Lastly, our gratitude extends to Fr Sani, Bishop Michael and the entire parish team at St Mary’s for hosting this wonderful ceremony and for their ongoing spiritual leadership.
We pray that our newly confirmed students continue to grow in their faith and be guided by the Holy Spirit throughout their days. May they always find strength and inspiration in their faith as they journey through life.
