A message from coach Ben Sanson:
I would like to take the opportunity on behalf of the tour group to give a quick review of the tour and say thank you.
On the field we started so well displaying some of the better rugby we had played all year. We play a physical and active style of footy. With Tane Tutty scoring, what I think was the try of the tour, off a set move called Memphis.
Leading into the second/third games, although outmatched, the SPC boys never ran from the challenge and in some cases ran towards it, where Macy (aka "Rasta") pulled off the tackle of the tour dropping a much larger opponent.
My personal highlight of the tour was the attitude these young men took into the trip. These young men were always polite, and manners were never a problem. Behaviour was outstanding both on and off the field! These lads are a credit to their families who have all raised great young men. As a coach, I couldn't be prouder of them - the way they conducted themselves after heavy losses with the attitude that they needed to improve, was outstanding.
All thanks must go to Mrs Quinney and Dana for getting this tour off the ground and giving these
boys and myself memories that will last a lifetime.
