It was a spectacular afternoon for girl's rugby on Monday afternoon. Thanks to our mates at Pioneer who supplied us with lights for this fixture. It was such a positive vibe with lots of supporters joining us for the games.
All girls involved in these games conducted themselves with composure and demonstrated excellent skill set. See more details on the rugby Facebook page. Shout out to our home-grown match officials - we appreciate your mahi.
We are currently on the hunt for girls for the Year 7&8 Girls Rugby Competition that will be running again this year. The games will be 10 aside and played on Monday afternoons with game times starting at 4:30pm.
The competition will run for 5 weeks, commencing on the 21st August, and will run through until the 18th September. On the 18th September, a festival will be held with all teams playing in Invercargill. Keep your eyes open for a link to register. If you are willing to help out with coaching and/or managing then please email rugby@stpeters.school.nz. Full training provided - why don't you give it a go?
Reminder that there is NO Southland Wide Junior or Teenage Rugby this Kings Birthday Weekend.
Enjoy the long weekend and see you all back on the 10th of June of our A grade and teenage games and Monday 12th June for our girls' teams. Enjoy the wee break and rest those bodies.
Kind regards, ngā mihi
