Millie McFadzien and Ava Wiegersma represented Southland with pride at the 2025 Jennian Homes New Zealand Track & Field Championships held March 7-9th. Competing alongside the best athletes from across the country, both girls had a hugely successful few days on the national stage.

🥈 2nd – Women’s U18 2000m Steeplechase
4th – Women’s U18 3000m
12th – Women’s U18 1500m
🥈 2nd – Women’s U18 4x400m Relay
Ava Wiegersma
🥉 3rd – Women’s U18 High Jump
A massive congratulations to Millie and Ava on their outstanding achievements. This was another incredible athletics experience for both students—not only did they perform exceptionally well, but they also had the opportunity to compete on New Zealand’s highest stage and be inspired by watching some of their athletics idols in action.
