Senior Southern Catholic Secondary Schools Sports Exchange

Tuesday, 8th April 2025:

After an early morning start (6:20am) our St Peter’s Senior A Netball Team, Senior Boys Basketball Team, Senior Girls Basketball Team and Senior Mixed Hockey Team all made their way to Dunedin to compete in the annual Senior Sports Exchange with Verdon, St Kevin’s and Trinity. In a change to previous years the Senior Quad, which has historically been held over 2 days (Sunday/Monday), has been reduced to a one-day tournament and will now be held in Dunedin (central location) every year. Netball and Basketball enjoyed playing under the roof at the Edgar Stadium, whilst the Hockey Team braved the sideways rain at the McMillan Hockey Turf.

Congratulations to all our Teams who came away with some excellent results and who showed great sportsmanship throughout the whole event on and off the field/court. Both our Senior Hockey Team and Senior A Netball Team were undefeated in the tournament!

We would like to thank our wonderful Coaches, Managers and Officials: Millie Cowan, Wendy Shanks, Janelle Conlan, Hemaima Eichstaedt, Vanessa Ross, Gabrielle Brenssell, Elmer Sollano, and Kieran Udy. Without your valuable contribution, this day would not have been possible.

Also, thank you to all our Parents and Supporters that travelled up to Dunedin and cheered the teams on from the sidelines.
