Dance

The St Peter's College dancers have done it again! Just three days after their last competition, they brought home a haul of medals from the Hip Hop Unite Otago/Southland Regional.

The girls competed in a variety of categories and age groups, representing both SPC in the School section and Central Academy in the Dance School section.

Results:

  • Dada Chantaraviroj and Aaliyah Silvestre: 3rd in a massive and tough School Duo section.

  • Samantha Marsh and duo partner Jorja: 1st in the Senior Dance School section.

  • Dada, Aaliyah, and Sabrina Chan: 2nd with their crew in the Junior Small Crew section.

  • Dada and Samantha: 2nd with their Senior Crew, which includes dancers from Gore, Winton, and Invercargill.

  • Phoebe Davidson-Watts and duo partner Heidi: 3rd in the Junior Duo section.

This was a really big competition, with busloads of heavy hitters from both Dunedin schools and Dunedin dance schools. All the dancers did so well—so well, in fact, that they all qualified for the Hip Hop Unite National Finals, being held in Queenstown in September.

We look forward to seeing them lift their performances again at the National Finals!
