The International Christmas Lunch and Student Farewells were held on Saturday at Rosmini House. Our international students were joined by their homestay families, hostel staff, and St Peter's College staff, all of whom have played a significant role in supporting the students this year.
Under Lina's guidance, the students presented an incredible Christmas banquet, which they began preparing at 10:00 am. They were responsible for all the table and room decorations, as well as decorating the pavlovas.
Secret Santa was a first-time experience for some of the students, but everyone participated enthusiastically, and many thoughtful gifts were exchanged.
It was also a time to farewell two students who will be leaving St Peter's at the end of the year.
Kio Ohara joined us from Ikubunkan College in Japan for the year. We will miss his sense of humor, musical creativity, and lively dancing!
Ophelia Nam will also be leaving, as she has completed Year 13 and graduates in December. Ophelia joined SPC as a Year 8 student in 2019, and we are incredibly proud of her achievements and the remarkable young woman she has become over the past six years. Notably, during her time at SPC, she persevered through three years of not being able to return home to Hong Kong to see her family.
Saturday was a day filled with wonderful memories, and we were thrilled that so many people could join the students to enjoy the meal they had worked hard to prepare.
The International Team extends heartfelt thanks to every member of our school and wider community for supporting these young students and welcoming them into their lives and homes.
