A Memorable Ball Experience

This was my first time going to the ball, and it was great. I had prepared my dress at home it was a Thai traditional dress that I bought online. I felt that if I wore a normal dress, it would be too simple, so I thought that a traditional dress would be a great way to represent my culture.

Before the ball, I already knew who I was going with because we had been paired up in advance. I felt a little nervous since I had never been to an event like this before. I had only seen this kind of thing in movies, so I wondered what it would really be like. On the morning of the ball, I had a hair appointment. While most of the girls curled or styled their hair, I kept it simple with just a wash and blow-dry and wore a headband. In the afternoon, I asked Dada to help me with my makeup because I didn’t know how to do it myself. By around four o’clock, more students started arriving at Nikki’s house so we could take photos together before the event.

We went to the ball in a limousine, which felt really cool. I had never ridden in one before. While we were on the way, some people on the street looked excited when they saw the car. When we arrived, everything looked beautiful. The decorations were lovely, and there was a photo area where people could take pictures with their friends and family. The band was really nice, and everyone danced together with so much energy and joy.

One of the best and most unexpected moments for me was winning Best Dressed Year 13 Girl. Overall, it was my first and also my last school ball, and I’m so glad I got to experience it.
